Stephen Discovers Treasures of America by David A Johnson.
Stephen Discovers Treasures of America combines a fun read for young children with information about the treasures of the USA. Written through the eyes of the author's son, it sees a child's imagination come together with snippets of American history. The illustrations are bright and bold and there is an accesible feel to the book. It's informative, with fun facts and it's going to fire the reader's imagination and encourage them to find out more about key moments in history. I particularly like the humour, it is never dry. This format would lend itself to a series.
Cat and Mouse say: a fun way to discover some amazing facts.
