When Felix desperately wishes for his own pet, what is there to do?

Imagine. Believe. Receive.

Felix loves animals and dreams of being a vet when he is older. The only problem is, he doesn’t have his own pet to look after yet.

After begging, badgering, and bothering his parents, Felix is finally taken to the local animal shelter for what his parents hope will be a sensibly chosen cat ordog…Felix may have other ideas.

This is a lovely book to share with youngsters and ideal for those aged 3-5. They will respond to the large, colourful illustrations which fill the page and highlight the text. The words are kept to a minimum on each page but are clearly placed in a child friendly text. Some key words are highlighted for extra emphasis.

The rhyming sentences make reading aloud a pleasure but there is a variety of sentence structures to add variety and interest. Above all, young children will enjoy the story about Felix and his wish to be a vet and to have his own pet. The motto, Imagine, Believe Receive, encourages them to let their imaginations loose and to think about what they would like to do and which pet they could end up with.
