Dreams in a Jar by Kate Staves Illustrated by Karen Bunting #Review
Today we have another delightful picture book suitable for sharing with babies and toddlers by Kate Staves. Dreams in a Jar was published on20th May 2022.
What if you could keep a little piece of your dreams to hold on to forever?
Put on your very best pyjamas and get ready for a magical journey through the land of dreams, collecting trinkets and souvenirs as we go!
In this story, a flower isn’t just a flower…it’s a pixie hat! A rusty old bolt isn’t just a rusty old bolt…it’s a piece of a rocket ship that blasted past a star! Let’s collect up all of these precious treasures together and keep them somewhere safe…I know, how about in a special jar?
A sweet, rhyming adventure story to share with your little dreamer
This is a delightful picture book to share with young readers. The illustrations are bright and colourful and add to the story. Written in rhyme, which makes it ideal for reading aloud, each double page spread refers to a different dream which the central character has wanted to collect and keep to remember. From pirate ships to rockets in space, there is something to appeal to everyone. Young children love to keep treasures in a keepsake box so will relate to the story. There is a link to colouring pages and fun sheets and the very last page is an illustration of a bits and bobs jar on which the reader can draw special things.
