This is a beautifully presented bedtime story book to share with pre-school children. I have found that it is very attractive to under - fives who have really enjoyed looking at the pages and have sought the book out independently, which is a great sign that they really like the characters and story.

The illustrations by Mariko Umeda enhance the stories and are bold and colourful. As each small tale carries on from the one before, the stories are just the right length to hold a child's attention. As a classic bedtime story book, it is ideal for settling down and slowing the pace.
