MY TODDLER LIFE by CORINE DEHGHANPISHEH

A delightful picture book to share with a pre- schooler.  It concerns a familiar topic- a child's fascination with Mum or Dad's phone.

MY TODDLER LIFE is a picture book told from the perspective of the child. It is ideal for sharing with an adult and I particularly liked how the ending points the way to playing with other toys and putting the phone down. Both child and adult will be able to identify with the fascination of a phone.

Each page is illustrated in bold but simple pictures. There are plenty of cues within the text and pictures to encourage lots of talking, excellent for extending language skills. Many pages contain rhyming words and the story reads well aloud. Ideal for pre-schoolers but I would have preferred the text to be written in lower case. It is written for the American market, but don't let that put you off.

Cat and Mouse say: Full of fun pictures and easy to listen to.
